Get 50% off at The Souper Market
As its clever name implies the local lunch joint offers a large selection of homemade soups and salads, many vegan or vegetarian. I've been to the Ohio City location before and throughly enjoyed my bowl of deliciousness that came along with a fresh piece of bread.

Target is offering free samples of some of their beauty products in a cute little make up bag! Their site is running a little slow so you may have to retry later if you run into problems.
$39 for a 21-day mosquito spray
This is an interesting concept. I guess for $39 (normally $80) they'll come spray your yard with a natural-based repellent safe for pets and kids, which will keep those annoying creatures away for 21 days. Now if they can just do something about the flies....

Herbal body wrap and facial, try it for $20 bucks
I don't know too much about these but they sound interesting. The spa explains that herbal body wraps can trip inches from your waste (probably water weight) and boost blood circulation which can reduce the appearance of cellulite. And you get a facial as well. If nothing else I'm sure it'd be relaxing. I'm sure the facial is worth $20 alone!

Aching for a vaca? A nice trip could be cheaper than you think
Everyone wants to go on a nice vaca once in awhile. No one wants to shell out the dough.
A solution may be in two sites I subscribe to that feature deals, usually 50% off or more. These sites have become an asset to the hospitality industry, which has suffered in this poor economy. But their loss, could be your gain.
Living Social Escapes has daily deals to far away places, as well as some right in your back yard. For instance here are some of the packages they've recently featured:
An escape to a waterfront cottage in New York's Adirondack's Mountains. The package included a two night stay for up to four guests, a complementary hiking book and local map, a s'mores package, and 10% off your dinner and a free appetizer at a local restaurant, all for $162 ($325 regularly).
Or, if you're craving some warmer weather there's a 4 night stay in Cozumel, Mexico for two that includes daily breakfast, a welcome drink and a bottle of wine, a tour, and a romantic dinner all for $434 ($1,000 regularly).
And if you're really feeling adventurous you can opt for an international deal, such as an 8-day trip through India that even includes airfare for $2, 217 (regularly $3,700).
Groupon Getaways is another good site for vacation deals. If you haven't signed up yet you can here. Recent deals include:
A two night stay in Vegas starting at $139 (regularly $254) that comes with a free bottle of liquor.
Or stay at the historic Powhatan resort in Williamsburg, Virginia for three nights for $259 (regularly $599).
Or take a trip to Nashville, Tennessee for $189 (normally about $400) with breakfast and a bottle of champagne waiting for you.
Of course, these are deals for a reason. Many do not include airfare and have restricted dates for use. However, if you're willing work within these restrictions your flexibility could really pay off.
*And just a side note, I've also heard that Tuesdays are the best day to book a flight because the big airlines put their rates up on Monday and all their competitors scramble to offer a lower one the next day.
You can get a good vacation for a good price if you know where to look :-)

$10 for a $50 gift certificate on Vistaprint
This is an absolutely awesome deal. On Living Social, for just $10 you get a $50 credit for Vistaprint. I made my own photo book (really nice, 50 pages and hardcover), which I was very pleased with, but the site also offers office supplies, invitations and announcements, other photo gifts such as T-shirts, calendars, and cards, and a heck of a lot more. Great for making something for yourself or knocking out some Christmas gifts with something sentimental, yet super cheap!
$5 coupon to Charlotte Russe
If you Like Charlotte Russe's Facebook page you get a $5 coupon for the store. There is no minimum purchase so if you buy something for $5 (as I did with a cute pair of sandals) you walk away without paying a penny!
*After you Like the page it will give you a chance to vote or enter for some contest they're having. Just click vote then select an image to cast your choice and it will give you the option to print the voucher or send it to your phone. I tried to do this twice, but it will only let you do one pass per person.

This seriously is an amazing deal. You get a Keratin treatment to treat your frizz, highlights, and a hair cut just for $60 (regularly $135). When I was there they even had a little clothes section so you can shop while you wait. I think the girl I went to was Lauren and she was really great. If you haven't signed up for Living Social I highly suggest it! Perfect time to shape up summer hair in time for school season.

Blockbuster is going bonkers with free rental codes!
Maybe it's because they're being nice, or more likely to get their foot back in the rental game, but whatever the reason Blockbuster has been offering free rental codes for their Express stands (their version of Redbox) for the last couple of weeks. I'm not sure how long this will last, but here's the latest bunch of promo codes.
Enter Code: 26PBCG2
Enter Code: 68TTDR5
*Expire August 22
You simply enter them in the promo code box at your checkout on the $1 movie rentals (which I think they all are?). You can use each code once per account. Also a note, you still have to put in your card, just to verify the account, but they won't charge you (unless you return the rental late!).

Up to two free full-size Suave hair products!
Have some extra time on your hands? Watch some videos and get some free stuff! Suave put together a little interactive game where you watch girls get their hair blown away or dirtied up and then you have to guess which had used the Suave product and which the professional one. If you answer correctly you can watch the next "test" and move your way up to choose from more prizes! The prizes begin with a coupon and move up to one product, then two, then even a magazine subscription. You can play and thus unlock as many prizes as you want and then choose which you'd like at the end. I went for the two products. They mail a coupon to your house in 6-8 weeks so I think you can pick out which you want..
To make things even easier. Here are the answers as follows: B, B , A, A, A, A, B, A
P.S. you can play as many times as you want by cleaning you flash cookies. I'm up to 4 free products to far ;-)

Make a trip to the Marc's closeout aisle once in awhile
After proudly serving my time (5 years) as a Marc's cashier I was ready to move on to bigger and better things. However, if anything my love for the Northeastern Ohio grocery chain has only heightened since my quitting. Their prices are pretty good, somewhere between Giant Eagle and Walmart I'd say, and personally I think it's great to support a local business started by a nice man with a white mustache and a good sense of humor.
In particular, Marc's closeouts section is great for a lot of things, and each store's section differs. But some of my favs around me are:
Skintimate shaving lotion and other beauty products (Skintimate $1.99)
Packs of panties ($1.99-$2.99)
Purses ($1.99-$9.99)
Bras (up to size C I think $1.99, though only some locations have these)
Seasonal items (I just bought a tent for $16!)
Ear buds ($2.88-$5.00)
Shower curtains: (about $3-$5)
Loofahs ($.25)
Hair stuff (many headbands, clips, and bobby pins are 2/$1)
There's also hardware, rugs, kitchenware, baby stuff, kids' toys, photo frames and albums, rugs, baskets and boxes, furniture, sheets and so much more!
Literally every time I run in to buy some groceries I am sucked in to the closeout section "just take a quick peak," only to finally get to the rest of my shopping 20 minutes later. People used to hand me a pile of closeout items at my register in addition to the milk and bread they bought saying, "I always end up getting so much more than I came in for!"
However, the closeout section at Marc's can actually be very beneficial to your budget as long as you follow a few simple guidelines.
1. Try to keep to buying things that you need. I'm not just talking shaving cream and shelving units here, though those are def needed at times. Marc's has recently started getting a lot of old clothes and shoes from Target (the Xhilaration brand of junior's clothing) I recently bought a pair of grey heels and a pink sundress each for $3. Since my heel collection isn't what it used to be and it's hard to find a sundress that actually fits me, these were things I was in the market for and it's a lot cheaper to buy them at Marc's than anywhere else. So I took advantage of the steal!
2. Keep your treats under a certain amount. Mine is $10 bucks. If you do see a few items you want but don't really need (a new car air freshener, nail polish, a cute purse) try to keep it under a certain amount. If you're going to treat yourself it's a lot more affordable to do it at Marc's than a lot of other places.
The drawbacks:
1. Marc's only takes cash, check, or Discover card so plan ahead!
2. Marc's accepts coupons on everything else, except the closeout stuff :-(
I always try to make an effort to check Marc's before I go buy anything. And if you see something you want you better get it fast, because it may not be there when you come back!
Use the store locator at the left of the homepage to find the Marc's nearest you! Happy shopping!

Always check for coupons
Know that old phrase measure twice cut once? I've adapted that to my life's mantra: Check for coupons twice, shop once.
There's nothing worse than getting something from a store and then realizing there was a coupon for it online or in your Sunday paper. Although it's not possible to always match a coupon with a purchase, it's definitely worth a try, even two if you're willing to wait a couple days or so and check again.
I'll admit, I'm not really big on reading the news. I was about the worst journalism major ever in that sense. However, for the rest of my life I will absolutely buy the Sunday paper. The $1.75 investment (at least for the Cleveland Plain Dealer) is absolutely worth it. You are almost guaranteed to get that amount back with coupons, though you'll probably save much more. These coupons are also available online at sites like,redplum.com, smartsource.com, and coupons.com but personally I think it's less of a pain to just clip coupons from the paper instead of printing them out. But whatever floats your boat.
This goes for restaurants too. Check their sites for specials or coupons before you dine out. Many times if you order something ahead of time you may get a discount or a free drink or dessert! Yum!
I also check online for coupons before I buy anything retail. Example: when Bath & Body Works had their semiannual sale a few months ago I checked online and found a coupon for a free travel-sized item with any purchase $10 or more. So what did I do? I stocked up on several 75% off shower gels and a couple hand soaps, which added up to $10 and then also got a free travel-sized lotion to keep in my purse! My favorite site for these retail deals is retailmenot.com. Just search the name of the store and it gives you a mix of online coupon codes or printable coupons. If there's a retail deal out there it's usually on that site.
The last tip I have for using coupons is to match them with a sale. Although I will never have the time nor patience to be an extreme couponer, one secret I have learned from them is to wait, if possible, until the product you want is on sale and then use your coupon in addition to that, as I did with Bath & Body. And remember, at least around here Giant Eagle doubles coupons under a dollar so you could even end up getting something free! (if somewhere else doubles them let me know). For example, when they have tooth paste on sale for $1.50 and you have a $0.75 coupon it's really worth a $1.50 value and makes the tooth paste free!
Hope these tips help. Remember, you may pay a little more in time, but it's worth it to save in cash.

Are you ready for some deals and freebies?
Hi all and welcome to my blog!
I’ll be doing the dirty work hunting around online for deals, so you can save time while also saving money. I’m a young female located in Cleveland, so most of my deals will be for women in the Cleveland area, though I’ll try to include some nation wide deals and some for men too!
So check this site daily and tell your friends. Subscribe by email below so you don't miss out on anything. Together we’ll save a lot of money and have a lot of fun!
